The colorimetric sensor array is an experimental method of distinguishing various substrate and complicated compounds. It is similar to mammalian olfactory and taste systems. Combing the arrays with analyst will be form fingerprint by using numerous indicators, such as p H indicators, redox indicators, gas or dissolved organic photochromic indicators, metal porphyrins and metal indicator replacement dyes, etc. The base material of conventional colorimetric sensor assay is usually made of quartz, glass, silicon or PVDF film. Not only the cost of fabrication is high, but also it will increase the load on environment with a disposable manner. So it is hardly used widely. In addition, there is much difference in the diffusion of indicators and the influence of conventional base materials, so the conventional assay dot is often showed different sizes and shapes; the sensing unit is also mutually overlap; and even the image information is affected before or after reaction, resulting in poor accuracy and stability. Therefore, it is an urgent need to discover a cheap and clean base material which can limit the array of point sizes. This research was to modify the filter paper, and then the hydrophobic barriers would be formed in each sensor unit to avoid the irregular diffusion by the capillary force of filter paper. The reaction was limited in permanent areas in order to make little influence on the sensing unit. The modified filter paper was used to the base material of the visualized array sensor(FP-VAS), and further investigated its capability in detecting the gas and liquid samples. The main containing of this research:① It was to design and fabricate the selective hydrophilic –hydrophobic filter paper by using the UV-SAS technology. The manufacturing conditions was optimized; Both the filter paper and PVDF film(P-VAS) were used to the base material of visual sensor array, receptively. The detection capability and stability of two different sensors were also compared. The results displayed that the optimum time of salivating filter paper was 30 minutes; The optimum height of UV cleaning lamp was 6 cm; And the illumination time was 1.5h. Comparing with the P-VAS, the FP-VAS showed a better capability and stability in the ammonia gas and aqueous ammonia detections. And it was also applied to detect actual samples.② The Paper-based Array Sensor Chip was fabricated; and then it was applied to detect the gas markers of 4 different exhaled volume fractions in the lung cancer. It was showed stable fingerprints by using the laboratory independent researched and developed visual sensing system. The image information was analyzed by two mathematical methods. They were the principal component analysis(PCA) and cluster analysis(HCA), respectively. The results showed that this filter array chip can distinguish perfectly lung exhalation markers, and it also confirmed that it was feasibility when the filter paper was used as th base material of sensor array.③ Comparing with detecting a target substance by the traditional broad-spectrum identification indicator dyes, the method of indicator displacement displayed better selectivity and stronger anti-jamming capability. Therefore, 3 metal replacement indicator dyes were selected to build a 4 × 4 filter chip of sensitive array points with the porphyrin derivatives indicator of laboratory preliminary research. It was applied to colorimetric detect and explore 8 kinds of amino acid standards and the amino acid metabolism of lung cancer cell metabolism solution. The image information was also analyzed by using PCA 、 HCA and LDA. The results displayed that this colorimetric sensor array can distinguish perfectly 8 eight kinds of amino acid standard samples, lung cancer cells and normal lung epithelial cells. It can be predicted that the sensor chip in the colorimetric detection fields will displace broad application prospects through all above experimental results.
