Objective To investigate the expression of PPAR γ gene rs1801282 of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM) and its lipid metabolismMethods Use the case-control study. Select 104 cases of new-onset gestational diabetes and 120 cases of pregnant women whose physical examination results are normal to be the research subjects. Use the PCR technology to identify rs1801282 PPAR γ gene directly, then further select some representative samples to take the sequencing test in order to verify the results of digestion. Results The gene frequencies of PPAR γ gene rs1801282 polymorphism-CC, CG,GG in the gestational diabetes group and the control group are 0.924, 0.076, 0 and 0.85,0.133, 0.017 respectively. The frequencies of G allele and C G allele in the gestational diabetes group and the control group are 0.038, 0.083 and 0.962, 0.917 respectively. There is no significant correlation between the allele gene frequencies and genotype frequencies in these two groups(P>0.05). However, in the gestational diabetes group, the genotype frequencies polymorphism of PPAR γ gene rs1801282 is positively correlated with BMI(P<0.01). There is no significant correlation among fasting plasma glucose, insulin, total cholesterol and triglycerides of the patients in this group. Conclusion There is no significant correlation between PPAR γ gene rs1801282 polymorphism and GDM, but there may be a certain correlation between PPAR γ gene rs1801282 polymorphism and the occurrence of GDM women’s obesity.
