Esophageal carcinoma is one of the commonest malignant tumor in our country. Both anastomotic fistula and postoperative chylothorax are the potentially fatal complications after esophagectomy. Thoracic surgeons always want to figure out the causes of those two postoperative complications. They also wonder how to reduce morbidity and mortality of them.
