Objective:The debate on the timing of treatment for ruptured aneurysms continues for decades. Nowadays, most neurosurgeons choose to treat the aneurysm as soon as possible for the patients in Hunt-Hess I-II grade. While for the patients in Hunt-Hess V grade, most researchers prefer to medication, as surgery can not change the poor outcome. Most controversies exist over the optimum timing for patients in Hunt-Hess â…¢-â…£ grade. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of Hunt-Hess grade â…¢-â…£ ruptured intracranial aneurysms treatment in different stage. Methods:From January 2011 to December 2014,121 patients met the requirements of our study and were divided into four groups according to the timing of treatment super-early group (within 24 hours), early group(1-3days), intermediate group(4-10days) and late group(beyond 11 days). Glasgow Outcome Scale was used for the evaluation of prognosis. Results:Among 121 patients,23 patients fell into the super-early group,53patients into the early group,35 patients into the intermediate group and 10 patients into the late group. There was no significant difference in favorable outcome rate and mortality rate among the four groups. Conclusion:There was no significant difference in favorable outcome rate and mortality rate of Hunt-Hess grade III-IV ruptured intracranial aneurysms patients in different stage.
