OBJECTIVE:To explore the relationship between the expressions of ER、PR、p53 and serum CA125 in endometrial carcinoma and clinicopathologic characteristics and prognosis.METHODS:Collecting from the gynecology ward in our hospital 99 cases in which the patients had the first surgery on pathologically confirmed primary endometrial carcinoma, with a detailed record of the testing results of pre-operative fasting serum CA125 and post-operative pathological report, including the pathological types, histological grades, histological grades, myometrial invasion, FIGO stages, lymph node metastasis, and the expressions of ER, PR and p53 detected by the immunohistochemistry of endometrial carcinoma tissue. They will be statisticaly analyzed. The purpose is to study the relationship between their expression and the endometrial carcinoma tissue’s histological types, histological grades, surgically pathologic stage, myometrial invasion, lymph node metastasis and prognosis, and clinical value.RESULTS:1.In the cases of endometrial carcinoma, the expression rates of ER,PR,p53and serum CA125 were 85.86%,83.84%,49.49% and 30.30% respectively.2. The expressions rates of ER,RR and p53 in the endometrial carcinoma exhibited significant difference comparing with other types (P<0.05).The expression rate of serum CA125 in the endometrial carcinoma was not obvious difference comparing with other types. (P>0.05)3.A negative correlation was found between the FIGO stages and the expressions rates of ER,RR in the endometrial carcinoma (P<0.05).The higher the stage, the lower the rate (P<0.05) Meanwhile, a positive correlation was found between the FIGO stages and the expression rates of p53, CA125 in the endometrial carcinoma. Higher stage, lower rate. (P<0.05)4.A negative correlation was found between the histological grades and the expressions rates of ER and PR,however (P<0.05) a positive correlation was detected between the grade with expressions of p53 and serum CA125 (P<0.05).Compared with the grade 3 tumors, the other grades exhibited significant different expression levels of ER PR and p53 (P<0.05)5.A negative correlation was observed between the depth of myometrial invasion and the positive rate of ER (P<0.05).The expression rates of PR、p53 in the endometrial carcinoma were not obvious different in the depth of myometrial invasion. (P>0.05)6.A negative correlation was found between the lymph node metastasis and the expression of serum CA125 (P<0.05)。No correlation was found between the lymph node metastasis and the expressions of ER,RR and p53 (P<0.05)7.A negative correlation was observed between the gravidity and the expression of PR (P<0.05).On the other hand, age and parturition time were in positive correlation with positive correlation of p53 (P<0.05)8.The FIGO stages, pathological types, histological grades, the depth of myometrial invasion, the lymph node metastasis and the expression of p53 had exhibited significant to the overal suivival (P<0.05).The expressions of ER、p53 and serum CA125 had exhibited significant to the overal suivival (P<0.05)CONCLUSION:1.The value of estimating the prognosis using the expression of PR and CA125 were positive.2.The value of estimating the prognosis using the expressions of ER and p53 were negative.3.The immunohistochemicial study of endometrium samples obtained from dilation and curettage of uterine will beneficial to the understanding of the clinicopathologic features of the endometrial carcinoma before the operation.
