Objectives:The status of health and safety management in a large general hospital in Xinjiang to investigate analysis, to provide reference for the hospital to develop recommendations, ultimately guarantee medical safety and reduce the purpose of medical safety(adverse) events.Methods:Using literature search, on-site investigation method for the hospital in 2014 occurred in 1871 cases of medical safety(adverse) events were retrospectively analyzed with SPSS18.0 statistical software for data descriptive analysis, nonparametric rank sum test. And through in-depth interviews, to understand the current hospital medical safety management problems and to propose recommendations. Results:1.Medical safety occurred FY2014(adverse) event total of 1,871 cases, involving male patients accounted for 54.25%.2.General ward, medical ward and features a special examination room is the main place for medical safety(adverse) events.3.Medical treatment therapy events, inspection / testing event and anesthesia things happen most of the medical safety(Adverse) event type, accounting for 50.83%, 21.54% and 9.19%.4.The main reason of the adverse events are Staff personal factors, physiological and behavioral patient factors, and communication factors.5.Third and fourth quarters occurred medical safety(adverse) event-prone season, during the day time and the night shift is a high incidence of small time period. 6.Surgical systems, systems and pediatric intensive systems are the main sections happen medical safety(adverse) events. These sections are also the backbone of the hospital’s departments, the occurrence of adverse events in total accounted for 88.56% of the total time. Among them, the Class I and Level Ⅱ event event in multiple surgical system, Ⅲ Ⅳ grade level events and system events in internal medicine and pediatrics system high.7.Medical safety(adverse) incidents involving multiple patients aged between 41-80 years old, in aggregate accounted for 61.52 percent, according to event classification grade I event, the proportion of grade Ⅱ and Ⅲ level event event in this age group accounted for higher. In patients less than 10 years old grade Ⅳ incident involving the high, accounting for 24.52%.Conclusion:Should be based on the medical workplace safety incidents, categories, mainly, in the distribution of medical events at all levels to develop the characteristics of the season, period, department and other targeted measures, to build medical safety culture, strengthen risk awareness, improve service concept, the implementation of the core system, adherence to operating procedures, etc., the rational allocation of medical personnel, draw on advanced foreign experience, etc., to reduce the incidence of hospital medical safety incidents, improve quality of care.
