Objective:Discuss the curative effect and safety of percutaneous closure of patent foramen ovale using Tranthoracic foam experiments. Methods: A total of 25 patent foramen ovale suffering from raine were enrolled in this study, including 3 cerebral farction. The age of all patients ranged from 35 to 46 years old. All patients underwent percutaneous closure of PFO. 25 patients received transthoracic echocar diography and received transthoracic echocardiography right heart coustic contrast imaging(cTTE).Patients with migraine were evaluated by he adache test, before and one month after the procedure.Collect 5mlvenous blood of every subject, at the time point of before the operation,24 hours and one month after the operation, and the venous blood was drawn and centrifuged, the separated serum were stored at-40℃ until assay. Then determin the content of calcitonin gene related peptide(CGRP), nitric oxide(NO), 5-Hydroxytryptamine(5-TH),and substance p(SP)in serum, using enzyme-linked immune sorbent assay(ELISA).compare the content of peptide above, before and after the percutaneous closure of PFO. One month after the procedure, confirm the correct placement of the device and the absence of aresidual shunt or throm bus formation on the device,by means oftransthoracic echocardiography right heart acoustic contrast imaging(cTTE)。Results: The device was implanted without any complications in all patients. 24 out of 25 patients were operated successfully. The sym ptoms of headache subsided after the closure of PFO in 5 patients. All the patients with migraine improved in symptoms to some extent, without any complication after the procedure. MIDAS score decreased obviously one month after percutaneousclosure of PFO. The content of calcitonin gene related peptide(CGRP),nitric oxide(NO), and substance p(SP)and the content of 5-Hydroxytryptamine(5-HT) in serum decreased,24 hours and one month after percutaneous closure of PFO.One month after the procedure, air bubble test was performed again and all the patients showed negative results. There is no rocedural com plication.Conclusion:(1)It can be concluded that the percutaneous closure of PFO is effective and safe. Patent foramen ovale transcatheter closure treatment may mitigate the impact of headache on the patient’s daily life.(2) The transformation of calcitonin gene related peptide(CGRP), nitric oxide(NO) 5-Hydroxytryptamine(5-TH),and substance p(SP)in serum can reflect the relief of migraine. The diversification of biochemical Indexes support the hypothesis of migraine pathogenesis.
