Clinical Study Of Acupuncture Treatment Based On The Theory Of Manifestation And Root Cause And Root And Knot For The Deglutition Disorders After Stroke

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of acupuncture treatment based on the theory of manifestation and root cause and root and knot for dysphagia after stroke, comparing the different of curative effect with current clinical acupuncture treatment on deglutition after stroke,explore the clinical significance of theory of manifestation and root cause and root and knot in the treatment of these patients, and clinical application.Methods According to the Chinese medical association in 1996 cerebrovascular disease diagnosis standard and Scotland college guide working group of the written guidelines about diagnostic criteria for swallowing disorder after stroke, design method with using randomized blinded,120 patients with swallowing disorder after stroke were randomly assigned to based on the theory of manifestation and root cause and root and knot group (treatment group) and routine acupuncture group (control group),60 cases in each group. Two groups were treated with basic diseases and swallowing function rehabilitation training, a total of 4 weeks treatment, two groups of patients before and after the treatment are used Drinking Water Test scale, the Chinese version of swallowing function assessment scale (GUSS) and Modified Barthel Index (MBI) for scoresheets score, and use the SPSS 20 statistical software package compar the effecting and statistical analysis, data comparison before and after each treatment using independent sample t test and comparison between the two groups using the paired sample t test.Results Two groups of patients have obvious progress in three rating scale indexes after treatment. Two group comparison results showed that the treatment group GUSS scale score and MBI scale score are higher than the control group, p<0.05, has statistically difference; Drinking Water test score comparison in two groups,p=0.078>0.05, although there was no statistically significant difference, but still see the trend of the treatment group curative effect is slightly better than the control group.Conclusions:1. Both based on the theory of manifestation and root cause and root and knot acupuncture treatment and the the commonly used way can obviously improve deglutition function.2. The curative effect in treatment group with improving the swallowing function and daily life activities ability is better than that in control group.3. It is a kind of new safe and effective treatment method that based on the theory of manifestation and root cause and root and knot acupuncture treatment of swallowing disorders after stroke, deserves further research and extension.
