Objective:Observe the relationship between retinal artery vessel diameter(temporal inferior artery, temporal superior artery, nasal superior artery and nasal inferior artery) and chronic primary angle-closure glaucoma, the relationship between retinal nerve fiber layer thickness (temporal inferior, temporal superior, nasal superior and nasal inferior) and chronic primary angle-closure glaucoma. Methods:We collected 33 CPACG patients(66 eyes) from June 2014 to December 2015 in our hospital as observation group(female 20:40 eyes, male 13:26 eyes,45-73 years). The control group consists of 21(female 13:26 eyes, male 8:15 eyes) cases(41eyes) aged from 54 to 72 years old. The thickness of RNFL (temporal inferior, temporal superior, nasal superior and nasal inferior) was quantified by OCT in all cases. The diameters of the arteries of the four main retinal vessel trunks(temporal inferior artery, temporal superior artery, nasal superior artery and nasal inferior artery) were measured at 0.5 disc diameter from the optic disc margin.Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS22.0 statistical data analysis software. The independent samples t test is used to compare the age,IOP,retinal artery vessel diameter(temporal inferior artery, temporal superior artery, nasal superior artery and nasal inferior artery) and RNFL thickness(temporal inferior, temporal superior, nasal superior and nasal inferior) of observation, control group, then the difference of two groups is obtained. Results:The average age of the observation group was (58.73 ±8.589) years, the average age of the control group was (61.52 ±4.686) years.Using the independent samples t test to examine the age,the difference is not significant (P>0.05).The average intraocular pressure of the observation group was (32.38 ±10.532)mmHg,the average intraocular pressure of the control group was (15.12±2.347)mmHg.Using the independent samples t test to examine the intraocular pressure,P<0.05,the difference has statistical significance.Using the independent samples t test to examine the retinal artery vessel diameter(temporal inferior artery, temporal superior artery, nasal superior artery and nasal inferior artery) and RNFL thickness(temporal inferior, temporal superior, nasal superior and nasal inferior) of observation and control group, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:CPACG individuals have narrower retinal arteries(temporal inferior artery, temporal superior artery, nasal superior artery and nasal inferior artery) and thinner RNFL thickness(temporal inferior, temporal superior, nasal superior and nasal inferior).
