Objective As implant placement technology constantly updated and mature, edentulous zone implantation is no longer limited to functional recovery, and more attention was pay to esthetic zone. With the application of new materials, bone and soft tissue augment technology was constantly updated. All of it were used to achieve tissue recovery. The patients of anterior teeth trauma were observed after surgery to evaluate clinical esthetic outcome. Methods 31 cases(20 male, 11 female) of anterior teeth trauma are selected from patients treated at Stomatology Dental Implant Center of Anhui Medical University from 2013 to 2015, with a total number of 48 implants. Implant is placed in fresh extraction socket. Guided bone regeneration(GBR) is implemented intraoperative when the extraction socket is accompanied by alveolar bone defect. The final restoration is performed 3 months after surgery. All the patients were followed up for 1 to 2 years to analyze the implant success rate. X-ray measurements were performed preoperative, immediate postoperative, 6 months and 12 months after implant surgery, changes of hard and soft tissues around implants are observed, such as, the Papilla Index and pink/white esthetic scores are evaluated, and the marginal bone level around implants are measured. Results During observation, the success rates of all the implantations in the 31 cases are 100%. Soft tissues recover well. No gingival papilla atrophy has been found. With implantation time increasing, pink esthetic scores increases, the difference was statistically significant, the Total score of white esthetic was 7.23±1.17. There are no distinct gaps between bone loss and bone augmentation in early stages. Bone loss is substantially reduced as bone remodeling becomes stable. Alveolar bone recovers well. Conclusion Immediate implantation after anterior teeth trauma could reduce overall treatment times, the number of surgical procedures, and the absorption of hard and soft tissue surrounding implants, so as to achieve higher aesthetic satisfaction.
