Objective: To explore the feasibility of indocyanine green(ICG)near-infrared fluorescence image could be used during the surgery of orthotopic colorectal cancer mice modeds.Method: Dextran Sodium(DSS)-Azoxymethane(AOM) was used to induce colorectal cancer mice models. The dose of 0.5mg/kg ICG was injected intravenously into the 5 tumor bearing mice and were imaged at 5min、30min and 60 min.At 60 min the NIRF image guided surgery was performed during the resection of the tumor. The excised tissues were subjected to examination of histopathology. Results: Dextran Sodium(DSS)-Azoxymethane(AOM) was used to induce colorectal cancer mice models. After 9weeks, orthotopic colorectal cancer mice models were successfully established. The dose of 0.5mg/kg ICG was injected intravenously into the tumor bearing mice. At 60 min all the mice were found high fluorescent area. All of the high fluorescent spot was excised under the guidance of near-infrared fluorescence imaging. And the histopathological results showed that all the tumor tissues were radical removedConclusion: Using ICG in near-infrared fluorescent image-guided colorectal cancer surgery could help for delineation of the tumor margin and improve the surgical outcome.
