| Objective:Using transesophageal echocardiography evaluation the changes of patients with atrial fibrillation before and after circumferential pulmonary vein ablation of pulmonary veins ridge and each pulmonary vein diameter in the left atrium.Methods:30 cases who accepted the circumferential pulmonary vein ablation with atrial fibrillation were collected. And the transesophageal echocardiography was used to evaluate pulmonary veins diameter of the upper left, lower left, upper right, lower right of the cases. The lower right pulmonary venous flow velocity and left atrial crest width were measured in 24-48 hours before and after operation and 3 months after operation. And evaluate the changes of left atrial diameter.Result:Upper Left, lower left, upper right pulmonary vein diameter values in 24-48 hours after operation significantly reduced than before (P <0.05); The values of 3 months recovered to pre-operation situation.Compared to the values in 24-48 hours after operations,lower left pulmonary vein diameter values after 3 months had significantly increased(P<0.05). However,the lower right pulmonary vein values after operations decreased than the values of pre-operations,but had no statistically difference(P> 0.05);The lower right pulmonary venous flow velocity in 24-48 hours after operations increased significantly than the values of pre-operations (P<0.01).But the values decreased than three months later and they had no statistically difference between the two groups(P> 0.05);The pulmonary vein ridge width in 24-48 hours after operations were wide than pre-operation(P<0.01).The pulmonary vein ridge width in 3 months later decreased than the width in 24-48 hours after operations (P<0.01). But The pulmonary vein ridge width in three months later only a little lower than pre-operation and had no statistically significance (P> 0.05). Compared with the preoperative, left atrial March, diameter, long diameter were significantly reduced after CPVA in 3 months (P<0.01).Conclusion:1),Circumferential pulmonary vein ablation will widen the left atrium pulmonary vein ridge in the near time.Although it will become narrow gradually,but still superior to the width in the long time. The pulmonary vein diameter of the upper left,upper right,lower left can be narrowed after Circumferential pulmonary vein ablation in the near time and will be recovered gradually,which has no significantly difference than pre-operation.2), AF patients’ left atrial March, diameter, long diameter were gradually reduced afer 3months with CPVA than preoperative. |
