Purpose:To study the display capability of Gd-EOB-DTPA of liver metastases with pancreatic cancer, and the impact of metastasis and chemotherapy in the liver imaging, to determine the best observation time of the lesion. Methods:Collected and analyzed 24 cases of images of pancreatic cancer with or without liver metastases with Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI. Assorted cases into several groups depending on the cases whether with liver metastases and whether had chemotherapy. Analyzed the SNR of liver parenchyma and the SNR, CNR, CER of lesions. Found if there is statistical difference between SNR in different groups and CNR and CER in different phases in lesions. Analyzed the impact of metastasis and chemotherapy in liver parenchyma signal intense. Draw the curve of time-SNR, time-CNR and time-CER, and analyzed the lesion’s signal changes in these curves.Results:①Liver metastases have the best signal difference with surrounding liver parenchyma in 15 minutes delayed Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI. ②Whether with metastases or not, liver parenchyma has best image quality in 15 minutes delayed Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI. But there is no significant statistical difference between two groups in SNR (p>0.05). ③In cases without metastases, liver parenchyma has best image quality in 15 minutes delayed Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI whether had chemotherapy or not. But there is no significant statistical difference between two groups in SNR (p>0.05).④In cases with metastases, liver parenchyma has best image quality in 15 minutes delayed Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI without chemotherapy. After thermotherapy, the best time is later than 15 minutes. But there is no significant statistical difference between two groups in SNR (p>0.05). ⑤The setting of scanning sequence may have an impact on CER calculation. Conclusion:For pancreatic cancer patients with liver metastases, the best signal difference between liver lesions and liver parenchyma is on 15 minutes delayed phases in Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI. It is the best time to find and detect the metastases. The best time to observe the liver parenchyma in pancreatic cancer patients whether with or without metastases and whether had have or had not have chemotherapy is also on 15 minutes delayed phases.
