| Objective:To assess the efficacy and side effects of 1251 seed implantation combined comprehensive treatment for locoregional recurrent and matastatic breast cancer,and to discuss the value of radioactive seed implantation in the comprehensive therapy of breast cancer.Methods:Forty-three patients with locoregional recurrent or matastatic breast cancer were included in our study and received 1251 seed implantation. After the treatment, all patients were followed up to analyze the changes of local efficacy,degree of pain relie, adverse reactions. The survival curves were also required to draw.Results:Among 54 lesions in 43 cases,39 lesions obtained CR,13 lesions were PR, and 2 lesions were SD, the total effective rate was 96.3%. All 17 cases of patients with local pain achieved pain relief, the total remission rate of pain was 100%. The patients were followed up for 14 to 60 months (median 36 months), the 1,3,and 5-year local control rate was 85.2%,53.7% and 1.9%, and the 1,3,and 5-year survival rate was 95.3%,67.4% and 37.2%, respectively. No serious side radiotherapeutic effect was observed during the follow-up period.Conclusions:1251 seeds implantation for patients with unresectable locoregional recurrent and matastatic breast cancer is feasible,can quickly control the growing of tumor with less damage. Besides, it can improve the life quality of the patiem and convenient in operation and fewer complications, and could be used as an important treatment options. |
