Objectives:1. Through separately carries on the questionnaire survey and related ophthalmologic examination of primary pterygium patients, pingueculae patients and physical examination people, analyze and compare the relationship of each inde in pterygium eyes, pingueculae eyes and normal eyes.2. Through separately carries on the questionnaire survey and related ophthalmologic examination of the primary pterygium excision combined with autologous limbal stem cells transplantation patients before and after operation, analyze and compare the relationship of each index before and after surgical treatment of pterygium.Methods:1. The first team:20 eyes of 20 primary pterygium patients,20 eyes of 20 pingueculae patients and 20 eyes of 20 healthy examination people went to clinic in the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University Eye Clinic between November 2014 to September 2015, were entered in the study. Ocular surface disease index (OSDI) questionnaire and examinations by the keratograph, including tear meniscus height (TMH), non-invasive tear break-up time (NIBUT) and corneal topography were evaluated in these people. Analyze and compare the relationship of each inde in pterygium eyes, pingueculae eyes and normal eyes. Data were processed using SPSS 23.0 software. P<0.05 was considered as statistically significant.2. The second team:30 eyes of 26 primary pterygium patients were operated of excision combined with autologous limbal stem cells (LSCs) transplantation in Department of Ophthalmology inpatient department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University between November 2014 to September 2015, were entered in the study. Ocular surface disease index (OSDI) questionnaire and examinations by the keratograph, including tear meniscus height (TMH), non-invasive tear break-up time (NIBUT) and corneal topography were evaluated in the patients before and after pterygium surgery. Analyze and compare the relationship of each index before and after surgical treatment of pterygium. Data were processed using SPSS 23.0 software. P<0.05 was considered as statistically significant.Results:1. The first team:TMH, Km results of the pterygium group, the pingueculae group and the normal group showed no significant difference (P>0.05); NIBUT, Astig and OSDI results of the pterygium group, the pingueculae group and the normal group have significant difference (P<0.05). NIBUT, Astig and OSDI results of the pterygium group and the pingueculae group have significant difference (P<0.05); NIBUT, Astig and OSDI results of the pterygium group and the normal group have significant difference (P<0.05); NIBUT and Astig results of the pingueculae group and the normal group showed no significant difference (P>0.05), OSDI results of the pingueculae group and the normal group have significant difference (P<0.05).2. The second team:TMH results of the preoperative group and the postoperative group showed no significant difference (P>0.05); NIBUT, Km, Astig and OSDI results of the preoperative group and the postoperative group have significant difference (P<0.05).Conclusion:Primary pterygium patients with abnormal tear function, corneal topography changes and clear eye discomfort. Primary pterygium excision combined with autologous limbal stem cells transplantation in the recovery of the ocular surface structure and can effectively improve the changes of tear film function, reverse corneal topography and relieve or even eliminate eye discomfort.
