Objective: To detect the serum levels of hepcidin and leptin between the native Tibetan patients with essential hypertension and those healthy ones, both of whom live in 3300-3800 meters or 2300-2400 meters above the sea level. To explore whether there is a difference between the two altitude. Meanwhile analyze the levels of hepcidin and leptin between hypertension population and their healthy controls who live in the same elevation. Besides that, the relationship of hepcidin and leptin is also analyed. In the last, the possible comes relative to the result will be discussed. Methods: Collect 3300-3800 meters altitude Tibetan patients with essential hypertension 79,Their collators 64,and 2200-2400 meters altitude Tibetan patients with essential hypertension 39, Their collators 50. By enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) to detect the serum Hepcidin, Leptin concentration. And adopt the corresponding statistical methods to analyze the data processing, the differences were compared between groups of serum hepcidin and leptin levels by variance analysis and LSD test, Linear correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between serum hepcidin and leptin. Results: 3300-3800 meters above sea level of native Tibetan patients with essential hypertension hepcidin concentration was(301.8±77.7)μg / L, serum leptin concentration was(21.2±4.7)μg / L, It,s healthy control group,s serum hepcidin level was(258.6±71.2) μg / L, serum leptin concentration was(18.8±4.3)μg / L, 2200-2400 meters above sea level of native Tibetan patients with essential hypertension hepcidin level was(322.1±77.2)μg / L, It,s leptin concentrations was(17.1±3.8) μg / L,while the healthy control group,s serum hepcidin level was(284.6±77.2) μg / L,serum leptin concentration was(15.0±2.7) μg / L,At the same altitude the serum hepcidin and leptin levels of native Tibetan patients with essential hypertension were both higher than that of the corresponding control groups(P < 0.05), Under different elevation between the two groups of Tibetan patients with essential hypertension and two groups of healthy controls, the level of serum hepcidin was no significant statistical difference(P > 0.05). The survey showed that Tibetan serum Hepcidin level has no difference between high and low altitude. Two groups of Tibetan patients with essential hypertension and two groups of healthy control group comparison showed that 3300-3800 meters altitude Tibetan serum Leptin level was higher than that of 2200-2400 meters altitude(P < 0.05). Correlation analysis showed that the serum hepcidin and leptin were significantly positively correlated(P < 0.05).Conclusions: 1 Native Tibetan essential hypertension patient’s serum Hepcidin, Leptin levels were higher than the healthy reference groups.2 The survey results reflected that the Tibetan serum hepcidin level does not show a corresponding decrease with the altitude increasing. Indicates that the serum level of Hepcidin had no difference between the two altitude.while 3300-3800 meters Tibetan serum Leptin was higher than that of 2200-2400 meters. Indicates that the Tibetan serum Leptin level exists a difference between the High and low altitude.3 Linear correlation analysis showed that the Tibetan population serum hepcidin and leptin was positively correlated.
