Objective To investigate the clinical diagnostic value of contrast-enhanced transrectal ultrasound(CETRUS) guided prostate biopsy in patients with prostate cancer. Methods A retrospective analysis of clinical data of prostate cancer confirmed by surgery from our hospital was conducted. Clinical data, diagnostic incidence and complication were assessed between CETRUS and transrectal ultrasound(TRUS) groups. Statistical comparison between the two groups were performed using t test orχ2test, and a p value <0.05 was considered as statistical difference. Results Total diagnostic incidence of CETRUS was significantly higher than that of TRUS(92.5% versus 72.5%, p=0.019), needle diagnostic incidence of CETRUS was also significantly higher than that of TRUS(64.6% versus 47.9%,p=0.000). Clinical data and complication showed no difference between the two groups. Conclusions Diagnostic incidence of disease of CETRUS was significantly higher than TRUS guided prostate cancer. |
