The Efficacy And Safety Of Cetuximab Adjuvant Chemotherapy Treating Advanced Non-small Cell Lung Cancer:A Meta Analysis

Objective: To make a systematic review on the efficacy and safety of cetuximab adjuvant chemotherapy treating advanced non-small cell lung cancer, so to provide evidence-based reference for clinical treatment.Methods: Retrieving database by computer in Cochrane Library,Pub Med, Chinese Journal Full-text Database and Wanfang Database, in order to collect the randomized controlled trial(RCT) of cetuximab adjuvant chemotherapy(experimental group) comparing single chemotherapy(control group) treating advanced non-small cell lung cancer.After the data was included and the quality evaluation was performed,Rev Man 5.2 statistical software was adopted to make Meta analysis.Results: Eight RCT were included in the study, totally 2372 cases.The results of Meta analysis indicated that, for the patients from the experimental group, 1-year survival rate [OR=1.33,95%CI( 1.08,1.64),P=0.006], partial remission rate[OR=1.48,95%CI(1.23,1.78),P<0.0001],total effective rate[OR=1.56,95%CI(1.31,187),P<0.00001], overall survival[WMD=1.41,95%CI(0.15,2.67),P=0.03], leukocytopenia incidence[OR=1.5,95%CI(1.23,1.83),P<0.0001], rash incidence[OR=53.26,95%CI(13.09,216.65),P<0.0001], incidence of transfusion reaction [OR=3.72,95%CI(1.86,7.42),P<0.0001] were all significantly higher than that of the control group, while compared with control group,there were no statistical differences in the complete remission rate[OR=1.57,95%CI0.91,2.70),P=0.11], Progression-Free-Survival[WMD=0.21,95%CI(-0.21, 0.63),P=0.33] and other occurrence rate of adverse effects.Conclusion: Cetuximab adjuvant chemotherapy has a good efficacy on treating advanced non-small cell lung cancer, but the occurrence of adverse effect should be prevented in clinic. Restricted by the research method,this conclusion needs RCT with large sample and high quality to further certificate.
