Objective:Early-onset schizophrenia(EOS) is a rare and severe form of schizophrenia. The amplitude of low frequency fluctuations(ALFF) and regional homogeneity(Re Ho)based on resting-state functional MRI(f MRI)can reflect abnormal of brain neurons activity.these study is to investigate brain function alteration in early onset schizophrenia by amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation and regional homogeneity based on resting-state functional MRI(f MRI), Looking for early onset schizophrenia neuroimaging objective markers, to clarify the pathogenesis of disease. Methods:We enrolled 20 patients of early onset schizophrenia diagnosed by Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders(DSM-IV) and 20 sex, age, education years matched healthy subjects. A attending doctor accessed the schizophrenia patients positive and negative syndrome scale(PANSS) and clinical global impression(CGI), then underwent resting-state functional MRI. For Rs-f MRI data were preprocessed by SPM 8software. Excluded the subjects of the head movement translation>2mm. Used Amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation and regional homogeneity of every voxel of every subject was calculated and analyzed among two groups in one-way ANOVA. On the voxel level, we selected brain regions when single voxel P<0.05(Alpha Sim revised),and a minimum cluster size>13 voxels, these brain regions were defined as statistically significant difference brain regions.Results:1. Compared with the average of brain, the ALFF values of normal control group increased in frontal lobe, the temporal and parietal lobe, precuneus and posterior cingulate cortex(P<0.05, Alpha Sim revised). The result is similar to the EOS group, but the area is enlarge.2. Compared with normal control group, the ALFF values increased in the left frontal gyrus, the left precuneus, the left cingulate cortex, the left occipital lobe, the left parahippocampal gyrus and the left calcarine(P<0.05, Alpha Sim revised), but decreased in the right superior temporal lobe and the posterior lobe of cerebellum(P<0.05, Alpha Sim revised).3. Compared with normal control group, the Re Ho values increased in the right gyrus frontalis medius and gyrus frontalis superior(P<0.05, Alpha Sim revised). Conclusion:Compared with normal control group, the early onset schizophrenia dysfunction in multiple regions, mainly in the left frontal gyrus, the left precuneus, the left cingulate cortex, the left occipital lobe, the left parahippocampal gyrus, the left calcarine, the right superior temporal lobe, the posterior lobe of cerebellum, the right gyrus frontalis medius and gyrus frontalis superior. These abnormal brain areas mainly involved brain default network structure and the frontal lobe- thalamus- cerebellar loop.
