Objective To explore the clinical significance of IL-8 and IL-17 in exhaled breath condensate(EBC) with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)in acute exacerbation period and stable period Methods Adopt Case-control study, collect 81 patients with COPD in acute exacerbation period treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Medical College from November in 2014-to June in2015.collect EBC 2-5ml by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),the serum levels of IL-8 、 IL-17 and FEV1% in patients of new admission and post-treatment was measured. Those of the control group were also measured. Results 1.Case groups and control groups general information were compared display:gender(male,female),age(year),nation(han,other),BMI(kg/m2),the differences were not statistically significant(P<0.05)2.(1)IL-8(14.84±5.11)and IL-17(17.98±6.45) of AECOPD significantly increased in the stable COPD of IL-8(11.25±5.59)and IL-17(10.48±6.22)( P<0.05))(2) IL-8(11.25±5.59)and IL-17(10.48±6.22)levels of stable COPD were higher than healthy persons of IL-8(3.85±1.51)、IL-17(3.15±1.21)(P < 0. 05)(3)IL-8(14.84±5.11)、IL-17(17.98±6.45)levels of AECOPD and stable COPD were higher than the control of IL-8(3.85±1.51)、IL-17(3.15±1.21)(P <0.05) 3.FEV1% levels of AECOPD and stable COPD were reduce than the control(P <0.05) 4.The IL-8(r=-0.21,P>0.05)and IL-17(r=-0.03,P>0.05)level of stable COPD patients showed no correlation with FEV1%;The IL-8( r=0.11, P>0.05) and IL-17( r=0.09, P>0.05) level of acute COPD patients showed no correlation with FEV1%;The difference from acute COPD patients to stable patients of FEV1%was positive related with the difference from acute COPD patients to stable patients of IL-8(r=0.325,P<0.05)IL-17( r=0.296,P<0.05) Conclusion IL-8, IL-17 may play an important role in the occurrence and development of COPD, It may become a indicator which reflect the patients in acute exacerbation period...
