Objective:To explore a new method of the diagnosis of portal vein disease,by discussing the non enhanced MR scanning of inflow inversion recovery technique and LAVA technique in portal vein imaging, to further explore whether it is feasible that inflow inversion recovery technique to portal vein imaging。Methods: 1. seventy-seven cases were Collected from December 2014 to September 2015 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Shihezi University School of Medicine which taked the liver MRI examination. Routine MRI plain scans and IFIR imaging, afterwards LAVA dynamic enhangced contrast imaging. 2. Using GE Discovery 750 3.0T MR and 8-channel phased abdomen coil; 3. With Reformat software in the AW4.6 workstation, respectively, 77 cases of patients with portal vein IFIR vascular imaging of the original image and LAVA hepatic portal venous phase scan image for maximum density projection(MIP) and multiplanar reconstruction(MPR) for 154 cases of image, The entire image information anonymous, random Numbers 1-154. Imaging quality and the capabilities of portal vein display on the CE-MRA and NCE MRA was evaluated and graded with a four-points by two independent of high qualification professional diagnostic radiology doctors respectivty, the samples are divided by two doctors agree on mutual consultation. If then hanve crosslight the samples are divided by two doctors agree on mutual consultation. 4. The results were statistically analyzed using SPSS17.0 package. The difference of the score between the tow methods(CE-MRA and NCE-MRA) was analyzed with Wilcoxon rank and inspection, taking α=0.05 significance level for statistical analysis to P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: All the 77 patients were successfully completed IFIR- FIESTA and LAVA scanning. 1.Image quality score: IFIR group:the mean equals 3.29. LAVA group with the portal venous phase scan: average of 3.38.In IFIR group there are 75 cases(97.4%,75/77)with score of quality more than 2,and 76 cases(98.7%,76/77) with score of quality more than 2,but there are no statistic difference between the score of portography in CE-MRA and IFIR – FIESTA NCE-MRA。(P>0.05) 2.The capabilities of showing portal vein: both the tow methods Were75cases( 97.4%,75/77) images rating of at least 2 points.IFIR group:average of 3.32,LAVA scanning group: average of 3.4. but there are no statistic difference between the score of portography in CE-MRA and IFIR – FIESTA NCE-MRA(P>0.05) 3. Gallbladder showing situation,in IFIR NCE-MRA group, there are 32(41.5%,32/77) the gallbladder showed with high signal. In LAVA CE-MRA group there is no case enhanced. Conclusion: NCE-MRA with IFIR technique id a non-invasive and effected methods which have the same effect with LAVA dynamic enhangced contrast imaging in show portal vein,it is a safe way which could provide comprehensive assessment of hepatic portal vein without contrast medium.
