Objective: To explore the value of CA12-5、CA19-9、CEA in the decision making choice for the treatment of hilar cholangiocarcinoma.Methods: Totally 29 patients satisfied with our standard from 2011 to2015. According to the therapeutic method, they were divided into two groups. 12 patients in curative resection group(G1) and other 17 patients in palliative treatment group(G2). In G1 group, patients accepted curative resection, as well as biliary tract stand implantation, internal biliary drainage and percutaneous transhepatic cholangial drainage in G2 group.The following experimental results(WBC, Hb, PLT, ALT, AST, CHE,ALP, DBIL, IBIL, CA12-5, CA19-9), Bismuth-Corlettewere classification,tumor metastasis and invasion of vascular statically analysised to investigate its effects between two group. According to preoperative imaging results, the tumor classification, metastasis and vascular invasion will be evaluated. To investigate the correlation between different laboratory indexes and tumor classification, metastasis and vascular invasion in the two groups.Results: There is no statistic difference of WBC, Hb, PLT, DBIL,IBIL, ALS, AST, CHE, ALP while CA12-5, CA19-9, CEA showed statistic difference in two group, and the level of CA12-5, CA19-9, CEA are higher in G2 group. However, Bismuth-Corlette types were also generally higher in G2 group, and the incidence of tumor metastasis and the invasion of the portal vein, the hepatic artery and its branches was higher in G2 group. The higher CA19-9 level is, the higher Bismuth-Corlette types is. The higher CA12-5 level is, the higher possibility of tumor metastasis is. The higher CA12-5, CA19-9, CEA level are, the higher possibility of vascular invasion is.Conclusion: In the preoperative laboratory examinations, the level of CA12-5, CA19-9, CEA and tumor classification, metastasis and vascular invasion have obvious correlation.The tumor makers of CA12-5, CA19-9,CEA can be used for helping to make treatment scheme selection for most patients of hilar cholangiocarcinoma.The tumor makers of CA12-5,CA19-9, CEA have important reference value.
