Hui Re Yongming Zhijue Yanshou of Song Dynasty is the well-known Chan monk. The name of Yanshou is Wang chongyuan and he is the people of Zhejiang Province. Yanshou is the third ancestor of Fayan school of Chan’s sect and besides he is the sixth ancestor of the Pure Land. In the late of Tang Dynasty, which had set up the five schools of Chan, Fayan were set up at the latest. But, its teaching methods are the most characteristic and be the greatest impact one. From some kind of perspective, it is Chan, more precisely is the necessity of the development of Buddhism. This article, for the interpretation of Yanshou’s Tathagatagarbha thinking, focus on the position of Fanyan school in the thinking history of Chan sect to begain. Therefore, the position and role of Fayan school, the relaionship between Chan sect and Tathagtagarbha thinking will make a brief explanation in the first chapter of this article. But now I want to talk about Tathagatagarbha thinking first. For the tahtagatagabha ideological positioning of this article is the Tahtagatagarbha thinking has appeared since ancient times. Vedic period in ancient India can find a trace of it. For Indians the Tathagatagarbha thinking is not need to create, but which it’s famous as a doctrine and formally enter the Buddhist areas, it must formits own system of thought in negotiations with other schools of thought, this article will talk about just such a system. The Tathagatagarbha, early people are aware of it, later the Chinese Buddhist found it again.Generally speaking, in accordance with the theory of characteristics, Buddhism is broadly divided into three parts:Buddhism Prajna,(Madhyamika is the most thorough in the interpretation of "emptiness", on behalf of Prajna.)Vijbana-vadaand Tathagatagarbha. For Prajna,"emptiness" theory is not a nihility, on the contrary "emptiness" deconstruct itself reflectively, therefore "Empty" manifests itself Emptiness in Non-emptiness and Being in Non-being and has been described as emptiness to gain from emptiness. The same way, in Vijbana-vada, are talking about the "have" to its end point must be "emptiness" which is named as Emptiness in Non-emptiness. So that the "emptiness"and "being"are able to reestabish in the mutual crack, and their fusion theory is Tathagatagarbha. The Tathagatagarbha thinking represents a critical theory. Its origin on the level of law enforcement to crack both self and the knowledge-attachment. The Tathagatagarbha thinking is also an established theory, it integrate "empty" and "being" into the "wonderful have" in order to establish Buddha-nature. Buddha-nature Treatise has laid the foundation of the entire Chinese Buddhist. This shows Tathagatagarbha has characteristics of self-critical and self-establish. It often show its characteristics from three aspect:the Emptiness of Tathagatagarbha, Buddha-nature of Tathagatagarbha, Conscious mental function of Tathagatagarbha. These three areas is just a complete embodiment of the above Tathagatagarbha ideological characteristics. Therefore we can say, Chinese Buddhism a list of these factions are all based on the the Tathagatagarbha thinking as a foundation to build their respective apostasy and theoretical system. Sects who based on the Tathagatagarbha ideology are Tiantai, Huayan and Chan, as the most representative. Combined with the Lengqiejing and the Awakening of Mahayana Faith whose idea is distinctive about Tathagatagarbha ideology which take root in China rapidly and develop greatly. In Chinese Buddhism, the Tathagatagarbha is often replaced by the term "mind". Such as "Dazhidulun" said,"The heart is to follow, is the holding is to establish". Therefore, in the context of Chinese Buddhism "Mind" is often used to refer to "Buddha nature". Although the language term is different, but referred to one. The Tathagatagarbha, heart, Nirvana, Buddha, often equating. Specific to the Yanshou’s Tathagatagarbha thinking of Fayan school of Chan sect, Yanshou explained in his book Zongjinglu:"one mind also named of Tathagatagarbha". Yanshou use the "one mind" refer to Tathagatagarbha in order to highlight the characteristic of "non-duality". Here "non-duality" means an inclusive and rescue. Inclusive to reflect the obvious characteristics of fusion in the the Yanshou Buddhist theory; Rescue embodied in the Yanshuo in which the special historical period to assume the important task of saving Buddhism. When combing of Yanshou the Tathagatagarbha thinking, the inevitable focus on these two aspects start to explain his Tathagatagarbha "one mind" thinking. Thus, the Yanshou’s one-mind ideology is Tathagatagarbha ideology. Yanshou’s Tathagatagarbha ideology is the foundation stone of achievement Zongjinglu. Besides, he wrote Wanshantongguiji six volumes, Zhuxinfu four volumes and the idealistic tactic and so on. In addition, in terms of Buddhist Tathagatagarbha thinking on its connotation, with the Tathagatagarbha thinking of ancient India, it can not see the difference, but the epitaxy is different. This is because Buddhism is not a rigid system of philosophy. Middle path of the origin and middle path of Eightfold Path is an important way to understand Buddhism. In this way, Language compared with the meaning of the expression is more meaningful in methodology level. Therefore respective sects and its eminent monks in Buddhist apostasy and the different of the interpretation and indoctrination methods become the focus in this article. Also hope that by studying the Yanshou’s ideological will further understand the profound meaning of the Tathagatagarbha thinking. As for the true meaning of the Dharma, the purpose of buddhism only by own sort of understandingThis article will focus on four aspects to explain the Yanshou the Tathagatagarbha ideology:The first part is a brief introduction Yanshou’s Tathagatagarbha thoughts background. This part mainly highlights the Tathagatagarbha ideology which is significance for the Chinese Mahayana Buddhism. It is interpreted through the relationship between Chan and the Tathagatagarbha ideology and the relationship between Fayan sect and Tathagata ideology. This includes a brief overview of Chan Buddhism, for in-depth understanding of Yanshou of Tathagatagarbha ideology, and leads to below pave the way.The second part described the characteristics of the Yanshou’s Tathagatagarbha ideology theory. This part respectively talks from the Yanshou’s Tathagatagarbha of the fundamental characteristics of "one mind", besides the perfect and fused together about "one-mind’. Among them, the fundamental characteristic of "one-mind" of this content of this section paves the way for the Yanshou’s Tathagatagarbha ideology through Tathagatagarbha’s origin and the net of development. And combination of the three characteristics describes the Yanshou’s Tathagatagarbha ideology itself. The third part is from theTanshou’s Tathagatagarbha ideology of foundation to respectively commence from three angles:First, Chan and budahism teaching of fusion is the most characteristic which is Fayan sect of the representative of the natural Chan; Secondly, based on the Yanshou’s Zongjinglu clear-cut indicates to discuss from the two aspects of "doctrine according to Xianshou school and the Buddhist teaching according to Bodhidharma.’The fourth part illustrates the Yanshou’s Tathagatagarbha ideology of practice. It focuses on the efforts of Yanshou made by him in carrying forward the Pure Land and the Pure Land theory of innovation.
