It then analyses the uniqueness of Bishop’scharacter through two features and finally explains the reasons for Bishop’s wandering. The final chapter is also the core of the thesis, we were go over an analysis of Bishopwith a fine toothed comb and the endless sea of emotions that drove her to a life wandering;Bishop grew up without parents or a complete, stable home. This sense of homelessness andloneliness accompanied her throughout her life. Her wandering is a constant search for theordinary life she wishes for. Although she carried the loss of loved ones with her at the sametime she won the care and love of many friends, but this love was temporary and could notreplace the sense of family and belonging that she craved. So she began on one hand to seeklove from outside sources, too look up family and lovers who seeks to experience and share ahappy life together. She also sought to return to Nova Scotia, the source of her emotions asboth the land of her childhood, her memories of her parents and a land that has been lost toher. During her wandering most particularly when she felt lost or powerless her heart alwaysyearned to return to Nova Scotia. Finally we find that Bishop always fled when in anemotional state, roaming was an escape from her fears of love and yet also her need to seekout a new stable relationship, in this we find Bishop caught in an infinite loop, a model shecan not break. Bishop is constantly seeking, rupturing, fleeing and seeking again and endlesscycle or wandering in search of love. Bishop’s loss of her parents is thrown at her objectiveroots of wanderings.
