| Tone is one of the important topics in dialect studies. In recent years, with the emergence anddevelopment of experimental phonetics, the means of studying tone become more and morediversified, the results of the study are increasingly intuitive and reliable. In order to push forwardthe research on Zongyang dialect on the basis of previous, this article focused on the studying thetone of Zongyang dialect in Yijin street, Zongyang county by using related method of experimentalphonetics. The main research conclusion are as follows:1. There exists five tones in Zongyang dialect, the specific value of the five tone arerespectively: Yinping31, Yangping214, Shangsheng334, Qusheng44, Rusheng55, which hasdiscrepancy with the previous study.2. Furthermore, the study of the duration of the five tone are also analyzed. The results are:Yangping> Shangsheng> Yinping> Qusheng> Rusheng. Particularly, The duration of the tones ofCusheng is shorter than those of Shusheng. But the gap between these two types of tones is not great, which is not so prominent as the performance of the tones in Wu dialect because of the missing ofglottal stop. The Duration of Shusheng follows the arch trend in correlation with the tone, namelytwist tone> rising tone> flat tone> falling tone. But there have unruly phenomenon the durationof falling tone Yinping is longer than the flat tone Qusheng, which may be affected by the nature oftheir own dialect.3. Intrinsic vowel fundamental frequency (IF0), namely the fundamental frequency will begreater than the value of high vowels low vowels under the same conditions, also appeares inZongyang dialect. In this paper, the control variable method is used to study the influence of speaker, tone categories, consonants, vowels on IF0. Finally, we found that the effect of speaker, tonecategories and consonant on the IF0does not constitute a system, while the nature of vowels (thatis loudness) is the key factor that influences the IF0.4. In Zongyang dialect many onset of the pitch exist: upward, downward and horizontal. Thestudy in the thesis shows that the the individual differences of speakers impact significantly on themode of onset of pitch. The study presents that even the same samples of different speakers showdifferent onset of pitch modes. The factors affecting predecessors the mode of onset of pitch onother dialects have not been well represented in Zongyang dialect. This paper considers the impactof those regularities things has smaller impact than interpersonal differences or personalpronunciation habits and mechanisms.5. The study on the length of the offset of pitch of Zongyang dialect shows that the length ofthe offset of pitch of the low vowel is shorter than that of the high vowel. The main reason for thisphenomenon has two aspects, one is the nature of vowel itself, the other one is the physicalcharacteristics of human vocal cords. In general, the pitch of the inherent vowel of high vowel isgreater than that of low vowel, which resulted in a faster vibration of vocal cords. At the same time, the moving of vocal cords from vibration to still have to overcome their inertia. Taken these tworeason together, it performs that the offset of the pitch of the high vowel is longer than that of thelow vowel. |
