In forty years of insomnia cognitive study field, it had been formed some effective theoreticalmodels including," cognitive model of maintaining insomnia"(Harvey) and "attention-intention-effort path model"(Espie). Harvey’s model emphasizes the role of selective attention in monitoringand maintenance of insomnia, and Espie’s model focused at that the role of attention, intentions andeffort to the formation of insomnia, although they have different representations, but obviouslyexpressed selective attention (attentional bias) is the psychological process of chronic insomnia. Most research results also suggested that insomnia have attention bias to sleep related stimuli, and some further research found, attentional bias triggered, maintain insomnia.Although the cognitive model of insomnia has repeatedly stressed: insomnia patients payattention to or monitoring the threat during day and night, then causing anxiety, worry and sleephard, but there is no study on sources of danger, and select the nighttime symptoms and daytimeinjury stimuli; in addition, only a reference to further explore the main component of insomnia’sattention bias, so it is necessary to continue to explore the component of insomnia’s attention bias. The attentional bias is not only the symptoms of insomnia, but also triggered, maintaininsomnia, so we can try to train attentional bias to improve the symptoms of insomnia; attentionbias training is widely used in the areas of low self-esteem, anxiety, substance addiction.attentionbias training (ABT) was shown to have good clinical effect; so ABT can provide a new perspectivefor the treatment of insomnia. Therefore, this study attempts to use the strict control of threat stimulus type (nighttimesymptoms, daytime injury) two picture materials, to verify the previous research conclusions:primary insomnia have the attention bias to sleep related threat stimulus, and further exploreswhich components play a role in primary insomnia’s attentional bias, more, the attentional biastraining(ABT) was first introduced to cognitive-behavior therapy of insomnia. The conclusion of this study are as follows:(1)The primary insomniacs have the attentional bias to sleep related threat stimulus, andnormal sleepers does not exist attentional bias.(2)The stimulus type (daytime damage, nighttimesymptoms) have no influence on primary insomnia’s attention bias.(3)The primary insomniacsattention bias’s main component is disengage difficulties.(4)The attentional bias training (ABT) notonly improved the primary insomniacs attention bias, but also makes the insomnia symptomsimproved.
