The German nation is an important part of the nations in Europe; they are widelydistributed in central and eastern Europe. After World War I, the political landscape inEurope, particularly in Eastern Europe has changed very much, the distributionpattern of the German nation which also had a significant influence. German nation inGermany and Austria are the main ethnic groups, but they are becoming a minority inother countries in Eastern Europe. In1930s Hitler became the prime minister ofGermany, and the Nazi Party establishes a dictatorship in Germany gradually.According to the so-called Hitler’s theory of the living space, German should beachieving the expansion in Eastern Europe. When this attempt is blocked, Germangoing to war with other country, in the beginning Germany occupied the vast territoryof Eastern Europe, and then migrated a large number of Germans to the area theyoccupied.Later in the war, the German troops was gradually defeated, a large number of residents of the German nation who had lived in Eastern Europe and later migrated German people fled their home because they fear the bad influence of the war, and then they became refugees. In the same time, the Allies against many Germany cities were bombed by the Allied Air force, the city’s infrastructure and many houses were destroyed, a large number of residents homeless, which also mad a large number of refugees in the German nation. After the war the Eastern Europe’s political landscape has changed again, especially the border of Germany and Poland, many Germans become refugees because the boundary was changed. These factors lead the reality that there are a largenumber of German nation refugees in the beginning of post war.After the war, Germany was occupied by the United States, Britain, France andthe Soviet Union. The occupation authorities taken some measures to solve therefugee problem in the occupied territories consider with their respectivecharacteristics.Some international organizations provided substantial assistance toGermany. Some refugees migrated overseas; these measures aid to solve the problemsof German nation refugee, but it did not fundamentally solve the problem. After theestablishment of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Conrad Adenaueradministration attaches great importance to solve the German nation refugee problems,and have taken some measures. Since the1950s, with the emergence of economicmiracle in the Federal Republic of Germany, the demand for labor is very strong, andfinally makes the long plagued German refugee problem solved.
