So in the later novels, it has great guidance and reference significance.In the novels reflected the farmers’life, most basic life problems on farmers can not be avoided. They relate to almost every aspect. These novels focus on the countryside, and describe the real countryside life. These novels can also be attributed to the problem novel type.In the course of China modernization,"rural" in fact, there is another layer of meaning. It is closely connected with the tradition."Country-traditional-backward" seems to be built an opposite relationship with the modern constitute.Therefore, Chinese Local Writing in modern literature seems to be closely related to the "problem" from the very beginning.But there are a big differences between the rural problems novels and the problem novels in the May Fourth Movement period."Problem novels" in the May Fourth Movement period is mainly on family problems, ethical problems, war, religion and so on or one of them as the center of the novel. It is aimed at the defects of an era. Meanwhile, it’s the negation of the tradition, and is a kind of emotional catharsis of the writers in a special period."Problem novels" in the May Fourth Movement period reflect the awakening of a large number of the intellectuals, which is a product of the enlightenment movement, and also a need of the enlightenment in the May Fourth Movement period. While the "rural problem novels" focus on very specific questions really existing in the rural life, such as people’s livelihood problems, marital problems of farmers, farmers’ ideological transformation problems. These are all related to the farmers’vital interests, which is essentially different from "Problem novels" in the May Fourth Movement period.In many works of contemporary rural novels, Zhao Shuli and Xiang Bengui are two of the leaders. Their works have many similarities and differences. There are not many comprehensive comparison researching studies of this aspect.
