The clan school-owned land is one of the important components of clan,affiliated lands belong to clan education. As an important basis to expand families,in the history of the development of the clan, education can often get very high attention. Because of its unique stability, the clan school-owned land is widely used as fixed education funds in those families. Since Song Dynasty, especially in Ming and Qing Dynasties, with the development of commodity economyand and the imperial examination system, the stability of the families meet more challenge. As the economic and cultural areas in Jiangnan area in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the effect is more obvious. In this case, in order to maintain stability and inheritance of families, the function of clan school-owned land is further demonstrated by relieving poor clansmen.On the one hand,the measure ensures the rights to share possibility into the officialdom for poor clansmen, which attracts lots of people around the clan.On the other hand,it maintains the clan education continues, which provides development space for the further growth of the clan. Therefore, in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the clan school-owned land of Jiangnan has been fully developed, and have a very important impact on the Jiangnan society.The paper is divided into five chapters:the introduction part mainly analyzes the present research situation of clan school-owned land in Ming and Qing Jiangnan, and then dig out the value of this topic, defines the concept of the individual and the topics involved. The main body of the thesis is mainly divided into four parts:1,the background conditions of the development and prosperity of Jiangnan clan school-owned land in Ming and Qing Dynasties;2, the source and the management of the clan school-owned land in Ming and Qing Dynasties;3, main uses of the clan school-owned land, including academic and life consumption of the students;4,The influence that the existence and development of the clan school-owned land Ming Qing Jiangnan society, including the clan and society and so on.
