According to the survey made by China Internet network research center,the college students is one of the main network users. The development of the Internetnot only brings opportunities to the university education,it is also a huge challenge. Thebasic education of china is always very serious, the students is under the highmotivation,so they have low autonomy learning level with the oversea students.Whatabout they expression behavior when under the network environment need a highautonomy learning level?What about the self-monitoring ability? So the author madethe research through individual interviews and questionnaire survey, to college studentsin sichuan as an example to understand present situation of the network learning ofcollege students self-monitoring ability and its influencing factors. Also looked atcollege students’ learning motivation and network learning self-monitoring ability, studythe effect of the college students’ learning motivation to the self-monitoring ability inonline learning.Research selection of the high reliability and high validity questionire compiledby ZhuChunLan "self-monitoring ability assessment scale on network learning " andcompiled by Tian Lan“Learning motivation questionnaire ", to randomly selected476students at universities in sichuan, and8students of each grade to carry on thequestionnaire survey and interviews, the results are as follows:(1) The overall level of Sichuan college students’ online learningself-monitoring ability is in the average, there is no significant in sex differences andschool differences, professional type,and the difference of students.(2)About the online learning self-monitoring ability in Sichuan universitystudent,there have significant differences in grade, these differences mainly embody instrategy of self monitoring, dimensions self-monitoring. The self-monitoring ability‘sperformance on the sequence from high to low is: a freshman and sophomore, junior,senior year. (3)The college students’ learning motivation is higher the average level, theinternal motivation of learning interest is in the highest scores, the second is the abilityto pursue dimensions, external motivation pursuit of fame and the dimension scores arelower than altruism orientation, followed by altruism orientation and reputation.(4)The learning motivation significant difference on gender and professionaltype, the boys’ learning motivation all dimensions are slightly higher than the girls, inwhich there exist significant differences on the reputation. Different types ofprofessional college students’ learning interest in the learning motivation, reputationacquisition, altruism orientation, there were significant positive correlation.(5)There is no significant difference on the college students’ learning motivationin grade, school and students ground.(6)There is a correlation about the college students’ learning motivation andnetwork learning four dimensions, except of the will to altruism orientation,the othersall have a significant positive. the conclusion conforms to our hypothesis, collegestudents’ learning motivation plays a significant role in self-monitoring ability in onlinelearning.
