Consumerism as a Western capitalist ideology, it is widely penetration and spread worldwide, the same for our people, especially the contemporary youth had a significant impact and influence, resulting in part of the group appeared to consume for the purpose of life values, and thus triggered a series of adverse consumer behavior, not only to themselves and their families a heavy financial burden, but also affect the formation of the correct outlook on life and values. In this paper, theoretical analysis and research methods, from consumer culture theory, based on the status quo of contemporary youth consumption in Western consumerism affect specific description, the system analyzes the negative impact of Western consumerism of contemporary youth the reason, revealing all sorts of harm to Western consumerism ideas put forward to overcome the negative impact of such measures and methods to guide contemporary youth to establish a scientific, green, sustainable consumption values.This paper consists of four parts.
