The Influence Of Buddhism Thoughts In Yang Jian’s Poetry

Yang Jian is one of the most important poets of the contemporary poetry. However, he didn’t get enough attention that he deserved from academia circle. Especially the relationship between his poetry and the Buddhism thought didn’t get proper academic thinking.Between Buddhist and intellectuals, what kind of style did Yang Jian’s poetry shows, and what kind of thought these poetries contain, didn’t get the due academic comb either. In this paper, I borrowed some ideas from the Buddhist thought such as "complete"、"capricious concept"and"causality"to interpret Yang Jian’s poetry.His poetry, through landscape view, shows the distinct cultural tradition evocation consciousness and strong individual spirit reflection, and explains his unique thought to the laws of human, social and ethical awareness.His poetries also contain his introspection of history and analysis to the plight of cultural.Yang Jian put the Buddhist ideas of complete "into their own landscape express, and he use the idea of "incomplete " to show his strong consciousness of evocation of traditional humanities. Because of the involvement of a strong sense of individual reflection, his poetry has an essential difference from and traditional and classical landscape poems.The transform that from the classi-cal natural landscape as the main body of traditional landscape poetry, to the poet himself as the main body of landscape writing, makes Yang Jian found the causes of the culture predicament of the present Chinese society.It’s also result from Yang Jian’s self-reflection.In Yang Jian’s poetry, the expression of life, death and ethics awareness, permeates a strong sense of "no country" and " ashamed " attitude, and suggests the individual seeking cultural dilemma in the process of breaking weak and incompetent.Yang Jian’s evaluating and reflection of himself, reveals his stro-ng sense of personal "practice", it’s also his awareness of "fickle concepts".Yang Jian’s poetry of history, in fact reveals the humanistic tradition fracture and the historical reasons of present cultural dilemma, and based on this he have formed his own predictions of the future. From the view of Yang Jian,"causal contacting not fall "is the basic way to solve the humanities traditional fracture and the present cultural dilemma.This paper argues that Yang Jian’s poetry were deeply influenced by Buddhist thought.As the double identity of both Buddhists and the contemporary intellectuals, he expressed his rebellion to the present social reality and the modern civilization in his poetry. He expressed a strong consciousness to recovery the broken humanistic tradition, and also his willingness to break through the plight of contemporary culture.His expression of the landscape, the awareness of life and death ethics, the investigation to the history, shows how depth and breadth did the poet think about the traditional humanities culture dilemma situation. In addition, the complexity of Yang Jian’s poetry thought also needs our attention. The complexity in Yang Jian’s poetry not only performance in the source of religious thought that added in his poetry is complex, but also because the extreme personalization style in Yang Jian’s poetry.His brief narrative language and individualized narrative language, also increases the difficulty of our interpretation.
