Fryderyk Franciszek Chopin is one of the greatest Polish composer and pianist of the first half of the19th century. He has a typical romantic musical language, and he is one of the richest musical history originality and poetic temperament musician, Schumann called him the "romantic hero". His style of composing is caprice style and natural to talk. Some of the details are full of charming and rich in features. Chopin wrote about19songs in his life, numbered Op.74. To compared with his impressive piano playing and writing, his polish songs only can be the tip of the iceberg, Chopin was never published these songs when he was alive. View from the artistic point, these songs maybe not as catching people’s eyes as his piano works, but it is still a unique contribution as one of the great Polish composer of the art songs made. Chopin,the poet of piano, his piano creation also known as "the art of singing piano", and then the art songs are the piano and vocals accompanied, they have a rare research value. His songs are concerned blind for concerts and art theory research has academic value, they are also a model for vocal performers and learners.I triggered the idea to study the art songs, the paper take literature, music score, sound analysis, trying to put the song named "Bowed ’neath their crosses" as the main line, next to involve other piano works and vocal music, get though the research by Chopin’s songs creative of the selection features, tragic characteristics and the artistic features of " Bowed ’neath their crosses", to illustrate the characteristics of Chopin’s styles of his art songs; through Three-depth comparison of the concert version of the song to sum up the style of Chopin and how to grasp correctly of sing the art songs, writer is going to fill this kind of gap.
