The Qualitative Research Of The Detailed Coping Performance Of Family Member Of Cancer Patient During The Patient’s Illness

Objetive:To explore the detailed coping performance of the family members of cancer patient when they experience this stressful event of "my family member be ill with cancef’.Taking theirs coping in the whole process as a dynamical process,Considering the factors of cognitive,attitude and behavior synthetically,and exploring the detailed coping performance of the family members of cancer patient in every period.Method:(1) This research applies method of qualitative research.(2) Participant observation,semi-structured interview and documents analysis are used for data collection,and11family members of cancer patient’s detailed data have been collected.(3) Finish the data analyse by opening coding,axial coding,selective coding,using the coding method of Grounded Theory".(4) Test the validity by adoptting participant’s test mehond,inviting the participant to feedback the research results.Results:(1) Code the interview data by opening coding,getting27first level codes.(2) Sum up27first level code,obtaining13second level codes which can described as the follows:gross stress reaction,unable to face the facts,inner conflict,complaining currently experiencing,self-adjusting,adopting the role of a supporter,emotionally unstable, Psychological on the verge of exhaustion,has a strained relationship with the patient,defense mechanism of compensation,grow up by utilizing the disease,sensitivity of the love has been raisd,the sublime outlook of life.(3) Include the second level codes.the researcher extract5core categories which can list like this:escape period,the period of compromise.acceptance period,running in period,sublimation period.Conclusion: The detailed coping performance of the family members of cancer patient when they experience this stressful event of "my family member be ill with cancer" will come through5stages which can be listed like this:escape period,the period of compromise,acceptance period,running in period,sublimation period.
