The history of women is an important part of social history, and women’s education is a very important aspect of women’s history. The study of women’s education will help to gain a better understanding the character of social development more accurately. Early modern period was an important transformation stage for the British society, and study on aristocratic women’s education is of great significance.In medieval Western Europe, although it is generally not in favor of female education, but the fact is that many women still gain education through various channels, and some women’s cultural accompiishment reached a very high level. Aristocratic women get more education because of special social status. In the early modern period, the female education appeared a certain degree of change, a few arisiocratic women get humanist education, they can be the same as men with wisdom, dignity and virtue, and occupies an important position in daily social life, and even some aristocratic women play the role of educators, play an extremely important role in the field of education.The thesis contains of three parts of introduction, main body and conclusion. The part of introduction mainly covers the trend of research both in and out of China and describes the academic value and realistic significance. The main body is of three chapters:the first chapter mainly discusses the family and social roles of aristocratic women, from the society, the role of culture field of vision, and as a daughter, wife and mother family roles to locate, points out that the patriarchal system impose strict restrictions on the aristocratic women, however, most of the women perform corresponding rights, has certain authority in their families, and contributed a lot to their family and class in important ways. In the second chapter, this paper mainly discusses the British aristocratic women’s education. From religious education, basic school education, virtue education and humanist education aspects in detail analysis, points out that they get education in social life through a certain way to, systematically combing educational situation at that time. In the third chapter, from the aristocratic women’s education in the role of religious tradition and education to the aristocratic women themselves, it analyzes the effect of aristocratic women education in early modern British and points out that they have a certain contribution in the process of social development.
