In order to explore the probably white matter pathological changes inearly stages of schizophrenia spectrum may exist, both groups underwent probabilistictracking to compare the difference of nerves fiber bundle from right entorhinal projectsto frontal lobe.Subjects:3500thefirstgradestudentsofauniversityacceptMMPIinthecaseofinformed consent and we got75subjects whose scores of Sc≥70.They further accept theSPQ and the diagnosis according to DSM-IV,then we finally got50boys as the object ofthis study. We selected18boys randomly as our SPD group from50,and selected18health boys randomly as the control group. Methods: We performed3.0Tesla Siemens fMRI and acquired DTI data on36subjects in the case of informed consent. Brain white matter FA value was comparedbetween two groups with t test. Correlation between the SPQ score and FA wasanalyzed by Pearson. The probabilistic tracking of nerve fibers from right entorhinalcortex to frontal lobe was down.Results:1)FAvaluesintherighttemporallobeofSPDgrouphadatendencyhigherthan that of control group(p=0.09);2)There was significant negative correlation between FAvalue and Positive factor-paranoid scores of SPQ(r=-0.486, P=0.042), whilea significant negative correlation between FAvalue and total positive scores ofSPQ(r=-0.525, p=0.025);there was significant negative correlation between FAvalueand negative factor-(r=-0.53, p=0.024);3)The Sc scores of SPD group has a significantpositive association with peculiar behavior scores of SPQ positive factors(r=0.481,p=0.043);the Sc scores also has a significant positive association with abnormalperceptual experiences of positive factors(r=0.517,p=0.028);the Sc scores has asignificant positive correlation with the paranoid ideation of positive scores(r=0.517,p=0.028) and total scores of positive factors(r=0.472, p=0.048);4) The probabilistictracking connection of SPD group between the right Entorhinal cortex and frontal lobeis significant higher than the control group(p<0.05)Conclusions: The brain white matter fiber density in the right temporal lobe regions(Entorhinal cortex)tends to be higher than that of control group; The higher the rightEntorhinal cortex white matter fiber density is, the higher the connection probability ofwhite matter tracts between Entorhinal cortex and the frontal; also found that thisincrease in white matter density may contribute to the paranoid scores of positivesymptoms, and the anxiety of negative symptoms. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | SchizotypalPersonalityDisorder, fMRI, DTI, FA, Fiber-tract, Entorhinal cortex | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
