As the“Dragon”of the ancient capital of Beijing,old traditions axis is formed in the YuanDynasty,during the old times from Ming and Qing to the Republic,it has experienced a changeof the times and changes,but it still is Beijing’s skeleton and coordinates,is the benchmark anddirection of urban development,reflects Beijing’s temperament historical and cultural.Protection of historical and cultural city construction planning Beijing“five years’ plan of thetwelfth”period to emphasize the central axis of each segment into the protectionsystem,Beijing’s “axis of world cultural heritage application” work is also being carried outwith intense,aimed at“the protection and development,development protection”Beijing’sindispensable cultural contacts.However,with the accelerated process of urbanization,the rapiddevelopment of urban construction, urban style traditional colors axis is undergoing profoundchanges,making the distinctive characteristics of the traditional axis gradually disappear.Inthis context,how to protect traditional color context Beijing axis of the Old City,in the old cityin order to divert the axis of the protection and development of traditional color control areaof the old city tradition axis color co-ordinated planning is becoming an important issue.In this study, the protection of traditional central axis of Beijing Old City with the overallcolor representation of architectural planning and control area within the region is animportant object of study. By researching and combing the development of the traditionalcontext of Beijing’s central axis, the environment and human color space and other aspects,tocombine theory and practice of the axis and urban areas of color,then there are plans forbuilding protection and control area street system colors the scene investigation,based onpreliminary studies and the accumulation of relevant theories put forward the basic principlesof planning and control of color,finally,summary a clear color control system andrecommendations chromatography context and application recommendations will begiven,through the color application and management effective guidance to improve the oldcity color protection system,provide ideas for the overall protection and development oftraditional axis.
