This study mainly discusses how to create Classroom Dynamics. Through thechange of classroom interaction and classroom environment, classroom dynamicscould be changed so that students’ interests can be aroused in learning English. Thus, a more efficient classroom will be established and as a result, students’abilities in using English could be promoted as well. This thesis starts with a brief literature review to show the close relationshipbetween classroom environment, classroom interaction and classroom dynamics.Based on that, the author explains the crucial role that classroom environmentand classroom interaction play in classroom dynamics. What’s more, the researchis carried out by a combination of quantitative (questionnaire) and qualitative(classroom observation and interview) analysis. All the subjects are chosen fromWuxi Institute of Commerce and they are divided into2groups. One is the ArtClass which is used as the experimental group and the other is the Science Classthat is used as the control group. The purpose of a pretest questionnaire is tocheck if students know the relevant factors such as classroom interaction andclassroom environment that could affect classroom dynamics and if so,to whatdegree. Classroom observation, which is used to compare the Art Class with theScience Class and the interview, serves as a complement to quantitative research.Classroom observation is used to do a comparison between the Art Class andthe Science Class. In the Art Class, teachers are to change teaching styles. enhance the classroom interaction and improve the classroom environment, whilein the Science Class, nothing are to be changed. According to this research, classroom dynamics is to be improved in the Art Class with the change ofrelevant factors. Students in the Art Class compared with those in the ScienceClass, could use English more fluently and improve their English to some degree. The result of which is also confirmed by the students and teachers in theinterview.10students will be selected randomly as well as5teachers for the interview.By analyzing the results of the interview given to the students and teachers, theexperimental group (i.e. the Art Class) agrees that classroom dynamics couldimprove through classroom interaction while the control group (i.e. the ScienceClass) has no improvement. Finally, the conclusion can be drawn that classroom dynamics coulddefinitely be improved by classroom interaction after the analysis of thesequantitative and qualitative researches.
