Oscar Wilde is the representative of the British aestheticism.Aestheticism pioneer, writer, dramatist, poet.“Art for Art” is the most notable feature of aestheticism.Aestheticism born in France, was developed in the United Kingdom,Oscar Wilde is its biggest contributor. Because he not only inheritedthe traditional concept of aestheticism, but also enriches the aestheticideology. We know from his work features Wilde mainly aestheticideology “Life imitates art”,“art itself regularity”,“form is everything”,these features were art first is its core. We Portrait of Dorian Graycan be seen art first important position.Wilde ’s aesthetic ideology is not limited to the field of literature, heextends this idea to the apparel, home furnishing, decoration and so on,so the thought of aestheticism thinking more concrete made anoutstanding contribution.In this paper, two chapters, the first chapter introduces the featuresof aestheticism origin, development and Wilde aestheticism. The secondchapter discusses the practice and enlightenment Wilde aestheticism inhis works of modern life.
