Purposes:(1)To investigate the difference between emotions of subjects infulfilling solitude and unfulfilling solitude;(2)To investigate the emotional differencesamong different subjects with ability for being in solitude who are under the conditionof unfulfilling solitude;(3)To investigate the emotional difference of subjects indifferent situations of delayed solitude fulfillment.Methods:(1)Test1: Treating the volunteers from universities as the subjects, this testutilized the CAPS and single-factor to measure the experimental design repeatedly. Theindependent variable was applied as time of measurement (2levels): before test andafter test, while the dependent variable was the score of emotion valence and arousal.(2)Test2: With the Scale of Ability for being in solitude the filtering tool, all thesubjects were divided into three groups:8subjects with high scores in solitude,13subjects with middle scores and8with low scores. According to the CAPS and3×2mixed experimental design, the variable between subjects was based on the types ofthem (3levels): high-score group, middle-score group and low-score group and thevariable of single subject was based on measuring time (2levels): before test and aftertest. The dependent variable was the score of emotion valence and arousal.(3)Test3:Choose30subjects from middle-score group in test2and used skin resistancethermometer and3(situations of delaying solitude fulfillment: rewards, no rewards andproblems solving)*6(measuring time: T1、T2、T3、T4、T5、T6) mixed experimentaldesign to test. The variable between subjects was based on situations of delayingsolitude fulfillment and the variable of single subject was based on the testing stage.Baseline, T1, is the covariate while the resistance value of skin was treated as dependentvariable.Results:(1)Test1. Solitude fulfilling group: the difference among the scores of VP,Neutral Valence, VN, AP and Neutral Arousal of emotion was not found,(F=0.234,p=0.630;F=0.642,p=0.424;F=2.888,p=0.091;F=0.005,p=0.944;F=2.792,p=0.096)while the difference in AN was found(F=6.858,p=0.010) Solitudeunfulfilling group: the difference of the scores in AP and AN was not found(F=0.733,p=0.393;F=1.845,p=0.176);the difference in VP, Neutral Valence, VN, and AN was found(F=35.861,p=0.000;F=18.669,p=0.000;F=21.567,p=0.000;F=24.108,p=0.000).(2)Test2. VP: the main effects of ability for being in solitude is not found(F=2.082,p=0.126)and the main effects of measuring time is found(F=63.256,p=0.000). The interaction effect between ability for being in solitude and measuringtime was found (F=15.921,p=0.000) AP: the main effects of ability for being insolitude were found (F=3.304,p=0.038)and which of measuring time were not found(F=0.368,p=0.545). The interaction effect between ability for being in solitude andmeasuring time was not found (F=0.448,p=0.639).AN: the main effects of ability forbeing in solitude were found(F=13.840,p=0.000)and which of measuring time werefound(F=12.108,p=0.001). The interaction effect between ability for being in solitudeand measuring time was found(F=7.837,p=0.000).(3)Test3. The main effects ofmeasuring time was found (F=4.125,p=0.004); The main effects of delayedfulfillment were found (F=4.683,p=0.020); The interaction effect between measuringtime and delayed fulfillment was not found (F=0.193,p=0.991).Conclusions:(1)The emotional difference among emotions of subjects in fulfillingsolitude was not found and under the condition of unfulfilling which was found.(2)The emotional differences among the subjects from high-score group was found underthe condition of unfulfilling solitude (3)On condition that the fulfilling solitude wasdelayed and the problems were solved, the emotional difference was found.
