With the increasing development of economic globalization, the world hasgradually integrated. And the educational internationalization has become the trend ofeducation reform. While in the area of education system, elementary educationconnects with national quality. It is the basis of education and national strength. Butcurriculum management has been the key point in the process of implementing theelementary education. The curriculum reform of elementary education has been thehot topic recently in China. The author selects the book of A History of Curriculum inChina’s Elementary Education as the translation program. The book mainly discussesthe development process,disciplines and the future of Chinese elementary education.It is the first research on curriculum in China’s elementary education. The reportconsists of five parts. First, it introduces the background, goal and significance of theprogram. Then the author analyzes the source text briefly. Third, a brief introductionto the translation procedure. Fourth, Under the guidance of the Skopos Theory,theauthor mainly uses specific cases to discuss the difficulties in the translation processfrom technique terms, no subject sentences and run-on sentences. The translationstrategies applied in this report includes literal translation,freetranslation,amplification, combination,reconstruction etc.. The last part is theconclusion to this translation program. The attempt of report promotes the culturalcommunication between Chinese and English through introducing Chineseelementary education to foreigners and provides some references for the similarpractice as well.
