This thesis consists of two parts:the translation part and the elaboration part.The translation part is to translate the four letters written by Mary Wordsworth to William Wordsworth in The Love Letters of William and Mary Wordsworth. And the content of the elaboration part is An Analysis of the Translators’ Positions in Literature Translation by Taking the Translation of The Love Letters of William and Mary Wordsworth as An Example.In recent years, the research of Subjects in Translation has become one of the popular topics in translation studies. As one of translation subjects, the translator, his or her translating ability influences the quality of the translation greatly. But there are no certain definitions of Translators and his or her roles. By taking the translation of The Love Letters of William and Mary Wordsworth as an example, this paper tries to explore their real positions in Literature Translation, and attempts to propose the three basic positions:a cultural communicator, a text rewriter, and a style coordinator.
