The discourse is the main part of the language in classroom teaching,which has special characteristics and functions to other language forms.The research based on first-hand actual investigation, mainly usesthe theories and methods of systemic functional linguistics to explorethe classroom discourse. Firstly, the research defines the context,nature and characteristic of classroom discourse, and makes theclassroom discourse classification. And then samples and analyzes thecorpus investigation from the perspectives of speech, discourse nature,functional perspective and classroom teaching, aimed at discoveringlanguage features of the actual classroom discourse. What’s more, itis helpful to optimize the classroom teaching strategy.In the light of the problems identified in the study, theresearchers try to put forward recommendations to promote teaching andimprove teaching effectiveness: In the classroom teaching activity, theteacher should improve the types and ways of questioning and feedback;He should control the turn effectively and switch the code properly; Heshould transferring student discourse and change the negative attitudesfor students. All in all, the teacher should set the goal of obtainingthe bidirectional information to gain knowledge and experience for bothteachers and students.
