Flower Trace Literary Prize And The Reconstruction Of Malaysian Chinese Literary Canon

With the outbreak of an unprecedented literary controversy in1990s, theMalaysian Chinese literary had entered a new reconstruction period of literary canon. Inthe cacophonous anxiety and anticipation, it is worth thinking of “where the MalaysianChinese literature will go” given by the Flower Trace literary Prize in the clash of realismand modernist canon.The thesis will objectively restore the status and role of flower trace Literary Awardin the reconstruction period of Malaysian Chinese literary canon since1990s, which isplaced in the grand literature field and power relations in order to avoid the interferencewith one-sidedness and subjectivity. That is, how it controls the discourse of literary canon by accumulating anddistributing of capital power; how it impacts aesthetic standards by the literary criticismin the review mechanism; how it strengthens the status of canon by the supporting fromselections and discusses aspects so that influences writing and public acceptance subtly,and remodels “Modernism”canon which is different from traditional realism canon.Finally, it will return to the specific award-winning works to dialysis the connotations of“Modernism” canon from transmutation of text views, literature concepts and aestheticviews.
