"Gate Pier" In Traditional Chinese Architecture Of The Aesthetic Value Of Research

In traditional Chinese architecture art, sculpture art occupies an important position.The sculpture artworks have various categories and a large quantity, and they are made outof sophisticated materials. Those artworks are well-made and with different styles,reflecting strong local characteristics and ethnic differences. There arte a lot ofwonderful gate pier which are well-preserved and breathtaking. Among ancient Chinesearchitecture attached sculptures, decorative sculptures take up a large proportion, forthey are good looking and practical. Those parts in the architecture are palaces, temples,pavilions, screen wall, arched, bridges, and etc. Indoor furniture and all kinds of numerouslife appliance are sculpture artworks and they are exquisite beautiful. In the numerouscategory of architectural sculpture, gate piers are quite outstanding in sculpture art.This paper analyzes and studies the aesthetic value of gate piers in the Chinesetraditional architectural through access to relevant data, field investigation, case analysisand the method of theory combining with the fact. Through an investigation of the currentsituation of the "gate piers" in the traditional architecture, this paper aims to explore theinheritance and how to pass the culture from generation to generation.
