Research Of Archaeology Knowledge Map Construction Based On SSCI(2009-2014)

Archaeology belonging to the areas of the humanities, is an important part of the history of science in China.While in the rest countries,it belongs to the anthropological or art history. The archaeology’s task is to study the ancient history of mankind based on the materials of various activities remain by ancient human.It rises and develops with the modern study thought and wide application of the science and technology. As an interdisciplinary subject, the research of archaeology shows large differences between the foreign and the domestic, mainly because the reaearch direction and research ideas on abroad are different from the domestic’s.Citation analysis is a kind of research method that uses the mathematics and logic method of journals, papers, monographs, research object references cited phenomenon and law of quantitative to analyse, in order to reveal the characteristics of the research objects or the relationship between the research objects. It can be used to analyse the citation relationship.Widely used in the visualization of citation analysis, knowledge map,is a kind of graph showing the evolution of scientific knowledge and the structure relationship. It can describe the knowledgebe and the carrier by the visualization technology with the human’s time going, and draws, mines, analyse and displays scientific knowledge and the relationship between them.This study will retrieve citations closely related with the archaeology from SSCI.Then,using citation analysis method, multivariate statistical analysis method, social network analysis method and Bibexcel, Ucinet,Netdraw, this artical constructs the archaeological academic groups and research hotspot of knowledge map, explores the reasearch group behind the representative academic group and the anthority figure of the group, determines the content of each focus. With the efforts,the author hope to present the modern foreign archaeological’s research hotspot and mainstream clearly and perspectively to the archaeological researchers in China, so that they can fully see the overall development situation of the world’s archaeology, and easy to learn and absorb the essence of archaeology.The author also hopes this artical can contribute to the developmen of our archaeology, even in a small extent.
