Non-intellectual factors can be divided into general non-intellectual factors and narrow non-intellectual factors. As the non-intelligence research developed, it not only has made some achievements, but also accumulated some experience. However, most of the previous studies are still purely theoretical. There are few researchers doing empirical studies, let alone investigate whether there exists relation among non-intellectual factors; whether there is core factor or core factors or not. In other words, it leaves some space for the author of the present thesis to do, which is the purpose of my thesis writing.By summing up the previous literature, the author investigated 80 sophomores in Northwest University for an academic year. In the thesis, the author also used many methods, namely, literature research, empirical analysis, questionnaire survey, induction method, quantitative research and qualitative research to explore the question further. To make the results more reliable, the author used the way of statistical analysis as well.Compared with previous studies, the thesis answered the following questions and put forward the solutions. Firstly, do non-intellectual factors have correlation with each other? Secondly, for non-intellectual factors, do they have core factors or not? The corresponding answers are as follows:in the first place, there exists co-relationship among non-intelligence factors. Second, there are core factors among non-intellectual factors, one is need, and the other is preference. Non-intellectual factors have great impact on students’performance. College students, as an individual, should know clearly of their needs and preference and focus on their comprehensive ability so as to keep up with the social trend.
