The Mogou site which located upstream of the Tao River in Lintan county of Gansu Province,is a new important prehistory site of Qijia Culture’s cemetery.It has been excavated from 2008.And it is famous for its unique burial customs.In Mogou cemetery,the complex burial structure,multiple buried phenomenon and the development direction of Qijia Culture have attracted widespread attention.This paper mainly studies the 271 tombs which excaved in 2009.The main goal of this paper is research the relationship between population structure and burial customs.In this study, the population structure includes sex structure and age structure.In the form of statistics,we respectively studied the relationship between the burial shape, burial forms,the location of bones and the sex structure and age structure.At last,we find there is no particularity between them.These further evidences prove that the Mogou cemetery is buried as one big unit family, and there is no significant gender difference and age difference.At the same time,according to the remains,depending on the location of the bones the Mogou cemetery can be divided into three groups.Top to bottom are group buried in catacomb,group buried in crypt and group buried tomb passage.And the group buried tomb passage is attached to the group buried in catacomb.Besides,from the relationship of population structure and the burial objects, we find that the men bear more production tasks in groups, while women generally undertake more homework.
