The Echo And Reflection Of The History:the Investigation And Research Of The Spread Catholicism Of Dingam Of Dingan Town

The object of this research is Dingan,a town located in Tianlin Country in Guangxi.The method of investigation is participant observation and depth intervievs. It uses the framework of ethnography, to describle history pattern and its changes aims at the furthering understanding of the culture game between chinese and others.Dingan Town,which belongs to tuanlin county,used to be called Xilin xian zhi for about 286 years since the 4th yesr of Kangxi emperor to the Rrpublic period,is a very famous and important part in Chinese modern history.According to my fieldwork,Catholics numbers are reached 600 including the religious villages in the town.What more,Catholic culture is at peace with its local multi-culture,which is worth pondering on.reviewing the history we known that Dingan town is the very placce where the shocking Xinlin church case was happened,which gave rise to the second opium war. In the 60 years 20 th century the French missionaries was resisted by the local people but new things are different, so what’s the reason for the large fraction of Catholics in this area? What’s changed after those years constantly merges between foreign and local cultures? I use the different memories and the choice and reconstruction of the memories about Malai related to the different groups of Dingan Town as the breakthrough point to analysis.This paper is a study of the Dingan town’s catholic faith history pattern and its changes aims atthe furthering understanding of the culture game between Chinese and others.I maintain that different social class will have different responds according to their history consciousness and the concrete alien challenges they have faced with.That is to say, as the foreign culture, Catholicism is impacting and communicating with the local culture continuously Catholicism culture arosed quite complicated reaction in Chinese society. Besides the mainstream opinions,there also exist the non-mainstream responds in the society. The mainstream views are hold by the most elite class and part of the main class influenced people. On the contrary the non-main stream vice, which on behalf of the less-influenced class, is important yet always being neglected. From all above, we can conclude that the different social class will also have different responds toward their different social backgrounds and the alien cultures different thus, when we talk about the culture exchange and integrating between alien and Chinese. We should started from the different communication methods and social class. Only in this way can we accurately mastery of the right way to get along with foreign cultures.
