Establishing State-level Protection And Inheritance Demonstration Site Of National Traditional Sports In Guangxi:a Case Study Of Status Quo And Countermeasure About Lion Dancing In Tengxian County

For the further promotion of excellent ethnic sports, protection and inheritance of national traditional sports, and motivating the construction of socialist advanced culture, so as to achieve well-developed minority sports cause and economic boom as well as social stability, Guangxi government issued National traditional sports protection project in Guangxi Autonomous Region(2011-2015), which aimed at realizing the following goals: the harmonious grow among national sports, economy and social program; fully accomplishment of sustainable minority sports protection system with favorabile organization, facility and perfect operating mechanism; scientific, standardized, networked and legalized protection of national traditional sports, reaching a state-level protection and inheritance demonstration site of national traditional sports in Guangxi by 2015.On the background of establishing state-level protection and inheritance demonstration site of national traditional sports in Guangxi,this paper will focus on lion dancing in authorized Tengxian county base, and analyze the background, feature, value, function, current situation from perspectives of Anthropology, Sociology, Folklore by means of field observation, interview, literature and logical analysis, etc.Then, strategies will be proposed according to the lion dancing protection and inheritance dilemmas faced by Tengxian and troubles during the construction of demonstration base, so as to provide a preference for the state-level protection and inheritance demonstration site of national traditional sports, and accelerate the sports cause and enrich ethnictraditional sport.There are all four parts in this paper, first is an introduction, will present the cause, objective, significance, literature review of this thesis.Second part is about the study object and method. Research result and analysis will be showed in the third part, author will perform field research for the history and basic information about lion dancing in Tengxian, then will make a fully analysis about the main feature, function and value of lion dancing and describe the current situation of protection and inheritance of lion dancing and the construction of demonstration site in Tengxian. Finally, following suggestions will be given:1st, a standardized system for scientific construction and evaluation should be formulated.2nd, government must attach importance to raise people’s awareness of responsibility and protection towards lion dancing inheritance.3rd, traditional cultural education must be enhanced in school.4th, the traditional sports in the countryside should be encouraged and emphasized.5th, more attention should be paid to foster younger inheritors.6th, federation game should be held and mutual interaction among deferent region should be promoted.The last part is a conclusion and relative advice, that is to propose some appropriate suggestions in line with the analysis to the current situation of lion dancing in Tengxian.
